Oligotherapy

Catalysts the bio-chemical reactions

Trace elements are minerals present in our body in small quantities or even minimal traces but perform very important biological functions; in fact, they contribute to correct development and growth by rebalancing many basic functions, as well as counteracting physiological and humoral dysfunctions.

Trace elements, like vitamins, are not produced by the body, but must be taken in from the outside. The absence of trace elements, as well as the absence of vitamins, causes blocks in the functioning of the organism.

These substances should be introduced in the diet but modern cultivation techniques have depleted agricultural products of trace elements and vitamins.
Precisely for this reason today it is necessary to integrate these substances in a targeted way because they are catalysts (they promote and facilitate) the bio-chemical reactions that take place in the human body without ever changing the important balance that exists and that must reign inside the body to maintain optimal health.

“Oligos” in Greek means “a very small amount”.

Gabriel Bertrand, a French chemist and biologist, first identified these enzyme cofactors about a century ago and called them “oligo” elements. Later, the French physician Dr. Jacques Menetrier proved that trace elements could be used in the treatment of biochemical dysfunctions.

Oligotherapy is widely recognized throughout Europe as a powerful modality for the support of a multitude of diseases, some of which include bacterial infections, cardiovascular diseases, respiratory infections, circulatory disorders and neurological conditions.

Trace elements used in oligotherapy include bismuth, cobalt, fluoride, copper chromium, iodine, lithium, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, sulfur and zinc (as well as various combinations).

Providing these necessary mineral substances at a precise concentration unblocks impaired metabolic pathways, thus allowing the body’s healing mechanism to function. Trace elements may also prepare the patient to respond more promptly and successfully to other therapeutic modalities.
