Oxygen-ozone therapy

Oxygen-ozone therapy

Oxygen-ozone therapy is a widely used healing method due to its numerous beneficial effects; it has been applied for many years all over the world and is supported and confirmed by a vast amount of scientific works and by years of research and clinical experience. It is a natural medicine therapy and, as such, has few contraindications and very few side effects.

Therapy takes place in the following ways:

• Subcutaneous or intramuscular injection
With a syringe equipped with a small needle, the oxygen-ozone mixture is injected into the area to be treated

• Direct contact
Through special plastic coatings the oxygen-ozone mixture is brought into direct contact with the affected skin area.

• Small Self Blood Infusion
At first a venous blood sample is taken (from the arm) which is “mixed” with the oxygen-ozone mixture and reintroduced into the patient by intramuscular injection.

• Great Self Blood Therapy (GSBT)
A quantity of blood is collected from the arm by means of a venous blood sample (generally 150 ml); the patient’s blood is thus mixed with a quantity of oxygen-ozone, again according to the pathology present, and subsequently returned to the patient through the same intravenous infusion.

Fields of application:

It is used in various medical and sports medicine fields as its strong anti-inflammatory action is exploited as oxygen and ozone have the power to promote the natural elimination of substances responsible for pain and inflammation.
